Pelješac Pelješac is the biggest peninsula after Istrien at the Adriatic coast.
From the isthmus at Ston up to the cape Lovišce in the northwest is the peninsula 65 kilometers long.
The northern areas are covered by jaw-forests and macchia, while fruits, vegetables and vines thrive in the warmer southern areas. The inhabitants deal mainly with viticulture (the known Dingac 'Postup').
Also the salt-works and oyster-breeding are known. The most beautiful part of the peninsula is the southern coast between Viganj and Orebic. tourist will find the small and well-known destination Orebic. The limestone
peaks Sv. Ilija (961 m) and Vizanjca (443 m) are protecting the town from the
cold wind „Bora“. The landscape around the place has a Mediterranean luxuriant vegetation such as pines, southern fruits and almonds.

Sreser Sreser is a very popular small holiday place and is situated on the peninsula Peljesac between Orebic and Ston.
The high percentage of salt in the air and in the water are very recommendable for lungs and skin-diseases. All day long surrounded by the sun, along with the hundred-year old cypresses, olives, agaves and wonderful flowers, that is what Sreser offers its guests and visitors - pure unaffected nature. Trstenik. The small town Trstenik is surrounded by lovely pine woods and
evergreen plants.The nature and silence, the large number of bays and beaches
and the kindness of the natives have already been seen by many travelers. For
this reason it pulls the people back from near and far again and again to this
place. The favourable traffic conditions also contribute to this. Trstenik has a port
which belongs to one of the livest on the southern side of the penninsula
Peljesac. Trstenik lies between the village Orebic and Ston and is moreover
connected to island Mljet. On the island Mljet there are many landing stages for
watercrafts. There is a mountain over the village named "Cucin". There are mufflons and wild boars in this area. There is also the possibility to perform the hunting sport beside the possibility of fishing. The diurnal excursion to the national park of the island Mljet represents a special attraction. Besides this, there is the possibility to attend a visit to the island of Korcula and Lastovo or to make an excursion to the nearer surroundings of Trstenik.
Viganj At the southern coast of the peninsula Pelješac is VIGANJ, a place of rich sailors, and with a tourist-gastronomic tradition. The bay of Viganj is just right for sailing because of its mild climate and the mistral which blows in the summer, the reason that a championship in wind surfing takes place every year.
Beside the beautiful gravel beach, which is approx. 500 m long, umbrella tree woods and lonely nudist beaches, Viganj offers you also the possibility for a hike to the peak of Sveti Ilija (961 meters). A diving school is offered likewise. Viganj has approx. 300 beds in private accommodations as well as five private camping sites, which can accept approx. 2000 people.Viganj has good transportation connections to Korcula (ship) and to Orebic, Trpanj and Dubrovnik (bus). Numerous trip possibilities exist into the surrounding areas.
